While the idea for Media Localization Primer was born out of our interactions with corporate clients, the course is aimed at various groups. It's for teams at large companies that create or commission their own content and want to understand media localization. Also, we made this course for freelancers, including freelance translators, who want to learn key concepts related to localization and understand the perspective with which large companies approach localization. We believe that understanding the perspective of companies that order localization services, or LSPs that provide them, as well as understanding the big picture of media localization is extremely valuable to freelancers who work or wish to work in this industry. (Please note that in some of the training videos, for the sake of clarity, we do adopt the perspective of a company that is trying to localize its audiovisual content.)
